A few weeks ago I got back from the 8th Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress which took place in Monte-Carlo from April 8 to 10, but I didn’t get the chance to write a few words about this experience up until today.
On Saturday, April 10, between 16:30 and 17:30, at the Grimaldi Forum, a spectacular glass and steel building by the sea, I hold a workshop presentation on the importance of skin revitalization with Jalupro within a facial rejuvenation strategy with injectable treatments.
The workshop has been chaired by Prof. Andreas Foustanos, who talked about the connection between plastic surgery and injectable treatments. The attendees of the workshop were mostly colleagues from Eastern Europe and Russia.
I had a successful collaboration with Dr. Elena Rumyantseva, who performed a demonstration of the injectable treatment with Jalupro. She made a good impression on me and we decided to continue our collaboration.
I will definitely remember the dinner I had with Prof. Andreas Foustanos and Massimo Bonsi at the Boccaccio Restaurant in Nice. We enjoyed the most impressive seafood platter I have ever seen, and the biggest creme brulee plate ever.
Professional Dietetics, represented by Eduardo Conti, Massimo Bonsi and Andreia Schilo, have been a very good host and I thank them for their kindness.

THERMAGE WORKSHOP
Saturday, January 23, I performed a demonstration treatment with Thermage, a revolutionary technique based on radio-frequency for skin firmness and contour. The workshop took place at Lascar Clinic and was attended by fellow plastic surgeons.

VISTABEL (BOTOX) OFFICIAL LAUNCH IN ROMANIA
On November 27th, at JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel, took place the official launch of Botox in Romania under the trade name Vistabel. On this occasion I was invited by Allergan to hold a presentation on the modern concept of beauty and to perform a demonstration of an injectable treatment of the upper face with Botox – Vistabel.
The video below is a selection of sequences from two episodes of the TV show By Monica Columbeanu running on B1 TV. The first part presents the injectable treatment that I performed at the official launch of Botox in Romania under the trade name Vistabel. The second part showcases the consult which took place two weeks after the treatment at Lascar Clinic.

FACE FILLING WITH TEOSYAL ULTIMATE
On November 14th, on the occasion of the National Conference of Dermatology that took place in Brasov, I led the workshop “Face Filling with Teosyal Ultimate”, chaired by Prof. Ioan Lascar. I was pleasantly surprised by the numerous colleagues in dermatology who attended the workshop, as well as by their interest towards aesthetic medicine and injectable treatments.
The main topic was cheek augmentation, and a live demonstration followed after the presentation. The video embedded below showcases the main moments of the event.

INJECTABLE FACELIFT WITH BOTULINUM TOXIN AND HYALURONIC ACID
In Budapest I led two workshops chaired by Prof. Ioan Lascar, the first on injectable facelift (with Botox – Vistabel and Juvederm Ultra), which was preceeded by the above presentation, and the second on facial rejuvenation with amino acids (Jalupro).
I stayed at Margitsziget, a place that I recommend visiting only if you’re in your seventies. I was highly impressed by the running track that surrounds the island. At the hotel bar, when I ordered a Jagermeister, I had the great surprise of receiving it the way every Jagermeister should be served, ice cold.
Budapest is a beautiful city, and its inhabitants are cheerful and polite. Also, it is famous for the beautiful Hungarian girls living there, and I must admit that this is not just a myth. You can eat a really tasty Goulash in small restaurants, which are less popular among tourists.

HANDS-ON WORKSHOP AT LASCAR CLINIC
Saturday, October 3, I had the honour to lead a hands-on workshop at Lascar Clinic in Bucharest, on facial rejuvenation with Jalupro, a new product based on amino acids (Glycine, L-Proline, L-Leucine, L-Lysine). The attendees were dermatologists from all around the country, interested in injectable aesthetic treatments.

ALLERGAN ACADEMY MASTERCLASS IN STOCKHOLM
I got back from Stockholm, where I attended the Allergan Academy Masterclass. It took place at Akademikliniken, under the guidance of Per Hedén, who has been an extraordinary host.
The trip to Stockholm was tiresome. I took 4 flights in 3 days (Bucharest – Amsterdam – Stockholm, and then Stockholm – Prague – Bucharest). I really enjoyed the great taste of reindeer steak and the Sweedish beer.
